Random freeze ups

Just built my system and i'm getting random freeze ups. I don't know what I did or why they are happening. This happened on my other computer also and it was the wireless card that was causing the freeze ups. Any ideas?

First Step - Disable all non-Microsoft services and startup items in MSCONFIG (Service Tab - Click Hide All Microsoft Services - Click Disable All, Startup Tab - Click Disable All. Click OK, Reboot. - Ensures no third party application that may have been installed is causing the issue. if the problem persists reverse what you did via the same steps except enabling...

Second Step - Remove hardware thats installed. Starting with the least impact to usablity, say NICs, Sound Cards, Etc. If need be disable onboard hardware via the BIOS (LAN, Sound, Firewire, Etc)
