I have got a problem here with my pc. I have vista installed in C drive and there is another partition(G Drive) in which i store all my data and there is another partition(H Drive) of 20 GB and its free(i dont use it for anything). So i tried installing xp on this H drive but after copying all the files the system restarted and it gave a disk read error, press ctrl+alt+del to restart. and when i restarted the system, the same error comes again. So for the time being, i ran start up repair and now i m able to boot from vista. Is it possible to install XP on that H drive? If yes, please tell me how.
Thanks and Regards,
Dinesh.

tried both the above mentioned steps but now its giving me NTLDR missing. i booted the system using windows xp disk and entered recovery console. The 1st question that it asked, "Which windows installation would you like to log on to?" Then is pressed number 1 and pressed Enter. 2nd question: "Enter the administrator password". i simply rpessed enter and it gives me an error, Password Invalid. I know i havent set any administrator password. i do not have a pswd set for my user account as well. I also tried to type my Windows username and pressed Enter, it still says Password Invalid. It gives only 3 chance to enter a right pswd.
Again, i logged on to recovery console and this time when it asks "Which windows installation would you like to log on to?" Then is pressed number 2 and pressed Enter. I left the admin pswd blank and hit ENTER, it still says Password Invalid. Can anyone suggest what would be the cause?
Thanks and Regards,
Dinesh.
