| Vista ultimate x32 | How to End Unresponsive Application Hi there, i'm using vista x64 ultimate and having this issue for a long time, couldn't find a solution to fix it clearly. Sometimes when i start Winamp, it just stops responding for few minutes and a message appears'' The program is not responding, if you wait for longer, it may respond etc..'' But even i'm not able to close it via Taskbar by Ending process or processes tree. Cannot get rid of it without changing the user or restarting the pc. Any tips are welcome. Regards. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: How to End Unresponsive Application Hello Northern, If you cannot close the application using Task Manager, then sometimes logging off and on will allow you to close it without restarting the computer. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Windows 7 RC x64 Vista HP x86 | Re: How to End Unresponsive Application Hello northern, A quick check on the winamp site would suggest from the activity in their forums that Winamp has problems with X64 at the moment, most problems seem to be focused around the Sonic add in and removing that from the install list may give a more stable app hope this helps |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: How to End Unresponsive Application It will just act the same as trying to close it from Task Manager and will make no difference. Usually if the application will not respond to Task Manager and close, then other than restarting the computer, logging off and on is the about the only other thing that I know of to close it. The only other option you could try is to close and restart explorer.exe to see if the application will close then. This is like doing a quick restart without actually restarting the computer. This tutorial will show you how to if needed. Restart Explorer |

| Windows 7 RC x64 Vista HP x86 | Re: How to End Unresponsive Application Hi northern, hope it's fixed would suggest you keep checking Winamp site for updates as I'm sure they'll sort any problems. I always used Winamp until I found Mediamonkey which is better for organising my music |
