Vista Just Shuts Off BCCode c000021a

when I am attempting to apply any updates to a fresh build of Vista (all new hardware, all certified) the system just simply turns off. At first I was getting BSOD, and was able to boot in a few times to apply driver updates (MBoard, HD, Video card) and again, it would just shut down in the middle of the update (or download).

One technical forum suggested the hard drive is XP format, and not sure if I buy that (it is a brand new barracuda)

You need Service Pack one installed before you can install the latest patches


Heres the information about BCCode: 21A...I believe the drivers/patches ypu are trying to install are for VistaSP1 and are causing problems since you dont have SP1
