computer crashed after only 2 days of vista, please help

Wellit only took 2 days. Windows vista ultimate 32 bit crashed, bluescreens now and won't start up except in safe mode. safe mode with networking wont work either, so now im on my laptop. i tried restoring and it didn't work. am i screwed? what should i do?

Since its only 2 days old I am sure you don't have much to lose.

Find the disk that came in the box and reinstall Vista. After doing that get it updated right away and you should be back to normal 100%.

Est time: 1.5 hours.

yea i lost basically nothing. for what its worth, it crashed about an hour after installing limewire and downloading 4 songs...which is the extent of what i lost.

Well maybe that is your first clue that you should not be downloading things from Limewire :)

yea limewire has caused me some issues in the past but usually just nuisence type stuff not full crashes. i'll steer now.

the cpu is a custom build. ATX tower, asrock fullHD geforce 7050 mobo am2+, etc.

O well at least you must have a good understanding about computers.

I would just take the easy route and reinstall Vista.

That way you know for sure you got rid of the problem 100%!
