Vista - restart problem

Hi iam hope some body can help me

Ive just finished building a new computer and everything went fine but about 3 days after it was up and runing i recived my internal card reader.

I installed it and every think semt fine but after in stall of the card reader every time i do a restart the computer switchs off when it comes back on it is not booting from the hard drive it is trying to boot from the dvd drive.

I have unpluged the dvd drive and tryed again but it will still not try and boot from the hard drive but if i switch the computer off all togeather and then restart it it boot from the hard drive.

I have even tryed a system restore and that has not helped.

So any help or suggestions would be greatful

by the way i have removed the card reader

did you check your bios and make sure the harddrive is set for your first boot drive?
are thay ide drives ? if so you have to set them up as (master and slave) the harddrive being the master drive..

hi yes ive set the hard drive as the first boot drive and no there are no ide drives just runing of sata

Go to C:\Windows\Minidump find all *.DMP files and debug them->How to read the small memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging
