My HDD disappeared

when I`m under windows xp i see my missing hard
but then again when i restart and put my pc under vista i dont seem the be able to locate my hard

  1. Right-click on the 120GB partition, then select "Change Drive Letter and Paths"
  2. Click "Add"
  3. Select :Assign the following letter" and select the drive letter you want
  4. Click OK
  5. Click OK
That should do it.

  1. Click the "Start Orb"
  2. In the search box, type "Command" (without quotes).
  3. In search result, right-click on "Command Prompt" and then "Run as Administrator"
  4. type the command "SFC /SCANNOW" and allow it to run.
  5. What results do you get?
And have you run a full scan for virus or malware programs?
