But looking at the link you posted it looks like it's digital.

I don't have cable because I really don't watch tv much

so your saying If I use the Antenna it comes with I am able to watch over the air free dtv?

If all you receive is an analog RF signal is when you will need a digital converter.
That is what you have to figure out, if the card can receive a digital signal thru the 'air'.
Try contacting the card manufacturer to ask them.

Went to the site and read the specs.

And..............The tv tuner will work in 2009 with the new dtv signals!

Digital signals from cable and satellite companies are scrambled and require a tuner provided by the cable or satellite company in order to see them. In contrast, digital TV signals from broadcast TV stations are not encrypted and can be processed by your TV tuner.
The reason of this difference in signal delivery by cable, satellite and broadcast TV is because the cable and satellite industry is not required to follow government broadcast policy. Cable and satellite is in the private sector.
