Hi All hope someone can help!
OK. I had 2 folders of .jpgs. I cut and pasted the contents of Folder one into a new folder (lets call it folder 3). I then cut and pasted the contents of Folder 2 into Folder 3. As there was a conflict of names of some of the items (different pics, but same names that the digital camera gave them) Vista then prompted asking what i wanted to do. I clicked the 'Keep both files, change the name of the new files' option. It didn't. Yes i was dumb and should of copied and pasted but i didnt.
Now what i have is a thumbnail showing the original pic (lets say a kayak). If i double click it, i get the 2nd pic (lets say a bird). If i copy the file anywhere, the thumbnail becomes a bird, and the file becomes a bird. I cannot get the kayak to copy or open anywhere.
UNLESS! I click the 'Slideshow' Button in the folder. Then my missing pictures view in the Slideshow (ie the Kayak shows, not the bird!)
Anyone, any ideas??
