Hi there,

Please help.

I got a message saying that WRP was unable to fix some of the corrupt files and when I look into the CBS log, I found this:

Should I be worried about it? Anything that I can do to fix this?

Hello Booqwer,

If you are not having any problems with anything, then I would not worry to much about it.

I have attached a copy of the C:\windows\System32\conime.exe file in a ZIP file below from my system that you can use to replace yours with a clean copy of it. I would make a backup copy of your file to keep just in case my file will not work for you so you can restore it if needed. You may need to Take Ownership of your C:\windows\System32\conime.exe file before it will let you Copy and Replace it with the new one.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hi Brink,

I dont have any issues as far as I am aware of. But it's nice to have an error-free computer, isnt it?

Anyway, I tried what you have suggested above with no luck. SFC still found corrupted conime.exe file.

Thanks anyway.

Since you are not experiencing any problems, then I would not worry about to much. I would run a very thorough antivirus and malware scan just to help make sure that it is not some form of malware. Plus, I would recommend that you keep good backups of anything that you do not want to lose in case it develops into something more than this and you needed to do a reinstall.
