Downgrading from 64 bit to 32 bit.

Ok, I've had enough of this 64 bit crap. Nothing I want to use works on it. I'm sick of it, I need 32 bit for everything I use. Must I buy another home premium for 32 bit?

Hello xxsomethingxx,

No, you do not need to purchase another copy of Vista. You can use your same product key number from your 64 bit Vista Home Premium to install the 32 bit version of Home Premium from a Vista 32 bit installation DVD that is the same type (retail or OEM) as your 64 bit DVD.

This link below will help you determine if something is compatible or not.

Hope this helps,

What if my copy of Vista only came with one CD of 64 bit? How would I come about getting the 32 bit CD?

If you have a OEM version, then you will need to contact the OEM or visit their website to get a 32 bit copy.

If you have a retail version, then you can order 32 bit CDs from Microsoft for just S&H charges.
