| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Extraction Fan? I was told I need an "extraction fan" for a video card I wanna get. Is that just the fan you can put over the vent on the back of your computer from the inside? |

| Vista Ultimate 64 bit | Re: Extraction Fan? I believe that is what he meant since he thinks your video card will cook up lot of heat and you need a fan at the back to "extract" the heat. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Extraction Fan? Hello xTweakx, Usually this would just be a rear case fan. I would get one that has the highest CFM (cubic feet per minute) and lowest noise (db) level you can find for the best airflow. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Re: Extraction Fan? Alright cool. I have a rear fan from another computer of mine, but I think it was stock so it might not be good enough. Anyway, is there a way I can check the cubic stuff and the noise level? |

| Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Beta, Vista Ultimate x86 | Re: Extraction Fan? Hello xTweakx. You could try searching for comparisons of the various coolers. There are a lot of hardware and overclocking sites out there that do this. An example is Refined Cooling for Video Cards http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-114-1.htm |

| Vista Home Basic 32bit | Re: Extraction Fan? This is the stock fan that I have on my other computer... New! AVC F9025S12L 92mm x 25mm Low Speed Quiet Case Fan - eBay (item 370100828690 end time Nov-19-08 23:00:10 PST) If I wanted to wait to go out and buy one, would this be efficient enough for the Sapphire HD 4850 video card to cool the inside of the computer? Or not? |

| Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Beta, Vista Ultimate x86 | Re: Extraction Fan? xTweakx, I can't find much about this fan. However case fans are not expensive. I always prefer 120mm. Zalman make a good fan a bit noisy though, as do Noctua who make a silent fan series which cost a bit more ($19AUD). You need to go for a good quality fan. Best to avoid E-Bay, unless it is an established brand. What existing cooling do you have ie how many fans, what size etc. |

| Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Beta, Vista Ultimate x86 | Re: Extraction Fan? By the way, The SilenX fan suggested by BruceX is a particularly good fan with really good noise characteristics. I have 3 120mm Noctua fans in my stock system. |
