Birthday money: PSU

Hey guys,

so yesterday was my birthday And I got a fair amount of money which I'm planning to spend on a new PSU, namely the PC Power and Cooling 750. Any heads-up's on this Power Supply or maybe recommendations for another one? As for me, I'm already pretty sure about the PC P & C one, but maybe you can convince me?

Cheers guys,

Amplid

Re: Birthday money: PSU

Happy Birthday.

And I've just bought myself a Corsair 750 watt PSU. Read good things about Corsair PSU's. Mine was around £80, so about 100 Euros for you.

If you don't need a 750 watt, then they do 620 watt and 540 I think, something like that.

Happy Birthday Amplid.

It looks like it would be a good PSU to have to be ready for future upgrades. 750 watts is a lot though unless you planned on adding devices to your system that need that much power to support them all.

I would make sure that the PSU you get has power filtering built into it to help protect your motherboard and devices better.

PC P & C is the way to go, if OCZ Tech, the new owner, didn't change anything on it. Another I would trust is SeaSonic M12 SS-700HM 700W.

Re: Birthday money: PSU

Yes, well it's the beginning of my new pc build, I'm putting an asus En9800GT Ultimate in there with a Q6700, evga 750i mobo..(once I get more money off course...) The corsair I've been looking at as well, but for the 620, the price isn't that much lower then the 750 from p&c.

Here's a comparison between the 750 and 620:

I just want to be able to be good with the PSU for a couple of years now...

Thanks all for the wishes...

Amplid
