| Vista Basic | Desktop Problems Hi I'm new here. Im using Vista Basic on a Sony Vaio NR32L. Last night I did everything normally, switched it on this morning and: c:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is not accesible. Access is denied. So I tried to change things, but I cant get into My Computer or Control Panel or anything else in fact. Also to actually switch on it takes years and then the message appears. | VISTA HOME PREMIUM X64/ 7 x64 / 7x86 | Re: Desktop Problems Hi Macca, Hard to tell what has caused this. You could try going into Safe mode - Tap F8 after the Bios screen ( black screen with white writing ) and before Windows starts loading. Then arrow down to Last known good configuration and press Enter. Hope it helps SIW2 |
