Re: Vista Ultimate 64bit dont boots

Hi zon,

When you start the machine , during POST ( the black screen with white writing ), almost the first thing you see is something like

F2 for setup
F11 for boot menu ( you might have different F numbers )

Press F11 ( or whatever yours is ) - you need to be quick

A pop up boot menu will appear. Put the dvd in the drive. Arrow down to cdrom drive and press Enter. It will ask again "press any key to boot from cdrom drive " - press Enter.

In a few seconds , it should boot from the dvd.

Hope that helps

Re: Vista Ultimate 64bit dont boots

Hello zon, welcome to Vista forums!

If you are trying to do a Clean Install with 64-bit Vista you will have to change which device the machine boots from first in the bios. You will have to boot into the bios and change it to boot from the CD-ROM instead of the HDD first.

Keep us informed!
