| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Any way to make desktop icons default on the right side of the screen? I have my desktop set up so that the sidebar is on the left side of the screen, simply because I like it better that way, but now whenever I install a new program or download a file from online, which downloads to my desktop, it always appears under the sidebar. Is there any way to make new icons default to the right side of the desktop instead of the left? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Any way to make desktop icons default on the right side of the screen? All that seems to do is save icon positions and let me restore them. Is there anything that would make new icons appear on the right of the screen? |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 : Seven Ultimate x64 | Re: Any way to make desktop icons default on the right side of the screen? As far as I know, what you want to do may not be possible. There are plenty of apps that will save the icon position, but none (that I've seen) will allow a default placement to the right. I don't even know of any reg hacks either. I remember looking into this back in the W98 and XP days, but never managed to find a way to do it. I'm happy enough to be proved wrong though |
