i have vista home premium 32bit.. i have a problem with it..it wont save any changes i save..first my "my computer" icon dissapeared from the desktop i tried restoring it using the desktop icon property,when i tick the tick box it wont save the settings..i have resident evil 4 and everytime i save a game,after i restart the game the saved games are lost..can someone pls help me on this one..thanks in advance

Hi Zeus, welcome to the forums.
Firstly, is your account a Standard user account or an administrator account? (standard user has limited privileges)
Go to Control Panel\Classic Menu\User Accounts to check.
With the my computer icon, in the Start menu, have you tried right-clicking on Computer and selecting 'Show on Desktop'?
As for RE4, try running the game as an administrator. Right-click on the RE4 icon, select Properties>Compatibility and tick the Run this Program as Administrator box.

im an admin on my system, ive already done what u suggested..however same problem..what i did was i created a new admin account then tranfered all my file to that account..its working fine now..i guess the problem is my old profile..thanks for the help though.
