Solved A small Forum Option Issue...

I don't really know where to post this since so I'll post it here in General Discussions.

I keep getting e-mail sent to me everytime someone replies to a thread I have been on. I already went to the options and choose the option to NOT receive e-mails but, I am still getting them.

I am sure that I may have missed another option I have to tick but, for the life of me, can't decipher where it is.

Can an Admin take a look at this for me? not a big deal really and I don't mind it that much but it gets annoying having to delete all those e-mails

Hello AstaLaVista,

I believe you just changed the option to be automatically subscribed or not for future threads that you post in.

In the e-mail that you recieved for the reply to that particular post, you will see a link to unsubscribe to it towards the bottom of the email. If you click on that link, it should unsubscribe you from that thread. See screenshot below of an example of this link.

Another option is to go into your User CP and click on List Subscriptions (right pane) to see all of the threads your are subscribed to. You can then check and delete the ones you no longer want to be subscribed to.

Ahhhhh, yes, I knew I was doing something wrong. I knew I had changed it but I didn't understand why I kept getting e-mail notifications and now I do.

I guess the folks from G.I. Joe were right... Knowing is half the battle!
