| Vista home 32 bit | Recycle Bin - No menu or properties! PLEASE help! I can't use my recycle bin without either going into the recycle bin and deleting the files that way or using disk cleanup. When I right click on the recycle bin, there's no "empty recycle bin" option, and when I click on properties, it says "the properties for this item are not available." I have tried putting the info back into the registry to repair it, and a few other things I've found in the forums to try but to no avail. Is there some way to "reinstall" the recycle bin? Reformatting is not an option at this point because I have many, many karaoke files that I can't back up right now. Thanks in advance for any help!! ~ Terri ~ |

| Vista home 32 bit | Re: Recycle Bin - No menu or properties! PLEASE help! I tried the system restore. It couldn't restore. I haven't changed or deleted anything that should have affected the recycle bin ... I just don't understand how this happened. I've tried every "recycle bin fix" I've been able to find on here, and done the sfc /scannow. Thanks for the advice, anyway. =)) |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Recycle Bin - No menu or properties! PLEASE help! Hi Terri, and welcome to Vista Forums. As a workaround until you can backup you karaoke files, you might try creating another administrator account and see how the Recycle Bin works in it. If it works just fine, then you can copy the contents of the old user account's C:\Users\(user name) folders into the new accounts same folders. Hope this helps, Shawn |
