| 32bit | Pages popping up!!!!! Second time this has happened. I was looking at stuff in Wal-Mart this time, and when I x'd out, the page started reappearing and kept on and on and on. I restarted and now it's OK. It did that a couple of weeks ago, but I can't remember where I was at the time. If I try xing the pages out, they just keep re-appearing and piling up. Any help out there???? |

| Vista Business/Home Premium/Ultimate x64/Server 2008 X64 | Re: Pages popping up!!!!! Hello peter4. Download and run malwarebytes antimalware application. After installing the scanner be sure to fully update it and to perform a full scan. Remove everthing it finds. Let us know how it goes. |

| Vista Business/Home Premium/Ultimate x64/Server 2008 X64 | Re: Pages popping up!!!!! Hmmmm...Ok. Have you checked your event veiwer? Anything unusual? Also try "a-squared". It another malware scanner that my or may not, find something malwarebytes missed. If you have your Vista disk, put it in and wait for it to load. Close it and open the "run" feature from the accesories area in the start menu and type.. scf /scannow The scan will take a while but should find any problems in the file system and repair them. Keep us in the know. uhhh its 4:20, I'll be back. |

| 32bit | Re: Pages popping up!!!!! OK - I did the a-squared and it found 6 low risk and told me to quarantine them, which I did. They were cookies from Google, MSN (which I never go to) and Yahoo. Anything else I should do? AND, should I keep these 2 program (antimalware and a-squared) installed? It's now 10:00 P.M. here in the Thumb of Michigan, so I probably won't be looking here any further tonight. Last edited by peter4; 11-11-2008 at 09:51 PM.. Reason: time check |
