Hi all, I need some help. I've been using my computer for more than a year now, and suddenly I have a problem with it. I've been away for 3 weeks, and have just returned to find that the My Documents folder will not open.

Details:

When I open the folder Hayden (your folder with your name, basically My Documents) it opens a window, with nothing but a white screen. If I click anywhere, or wait for too long, it goes into Not Responding mode, and has to be closed out of. This is annoying, as I need to access my folder.

Here is my computer details:

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Model: HP mp8085a
Intel Core 2
6400 @ 2.13 GHz
2 GB RAM
64-Bit OS
Computer name: HAYDEN-PC
(Thus the folder is called Hayden)

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Nekru, Have you installed any new programs? have you tried to enter the folder in safe mode? Try system or registry restore..

Since this just happened, you might do a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem to see if it can fix this for you.

I restored it once but nothing changed. So I restored it to an earlier time (before I installed a program) and now it is working. I've lost a few programs, but I can easily get them back, so no worries there. I'll fix up the few changes now. Thanks a lot for your help.
