Now I see why you are asking the question about the cpu on the other post. If the cpu heatsink is off, it will shut down right away when up start up. How long have you had the computer? I would start treating it as a overheat problem by blow out all the dust bunies out especially on the gpu fan. If doesn't help, then we start from there. Post back.

Try underclocking that RAM, I had a Gigabyte P35 board that wouldn't use Crucial Ballistix PC8500 RAM at 1066. Even after I downgraded to 800Mhz Ballistix PC6400, it only ran 2 months before it was doing all kinds of BSOD again. Ended up putting a different brand (Patriot) PC6400 @ 800Mhz to get it stable.

It took almost 24 hours of Memtest 2.01+ running for the Ballistix RAM to fail, but it did fail.

You probably have the default "Automatically restart" box checked in Control Panel>System>Advanced System Settings>Startup and Recovery>Settings. This accounts for the restarting.

Everytime it Blue Screens, it autorestarts before the message readable or you know what's going on.

Hi Panais,

This could be a system cooling issue. In order to check this, temporarily run your system with the side panel removed. Does it still reboot as in your first post? If the problem appears to have disappeared, then you need to look at the configuration of your cooling fans. Many people believe that the secret to good cooling is plenty of fans, but if they are not configured correctly, they can actually make things worse. You want NEGATIVE as opposed to POSITIVE air pressure inside your case, i.e. more airflow OUT than IN. This configuration forces cooler air from outside to flow through the chassis, thus keeping things cooler.

If the open case test suggested by Dwarf doesn't help. I would go ahead to backup your data and looking at a possible OS installation. Looking a your error log, there may be some sort of OS file corruption or virus.:D

Does your computer often freeze before it got worse as now? If you can't come up with any solutions, try to make sure your SATA cable is secure by pushing hard and wiggle the cable connection at the HDD like the way you shouldn't. Or, replace it with after market SATA cable. It is a known problem for loosen SATA cable especially for the one that comes with the MB. I had the similar torturing problem for months until I spotted it. Hope it is this simple. Post back.

Strange thing...(i bought a new battery just for testing)
1)When i remove battery for 1 min and insert it back my computer start normally.
2)But if i try to make any changes on bios, like correcting time after insert back battery, save changes and exit setup Y (yes) starts the Continuously Reboot, computer trys to restart, stuck on bios screen test mem, restart and again and again. So after that i shutdown computer, remove battery for 1 min, insert battery, start computer, biiip works fine, dont make any changes and everything seems to be ok,leave the computer to download things all night and at the morning restarts.Error log-The previous system shutdown at 4:42:09 πμ on 15/11/2008 was unexpected.

In BIOS, set your PC8500 1066Mhz memory to run at "Memory Frequency (Mhz) 800" on the MIT page in BIOS. Crucial's memory doesn't even appear on this Gigabyte board's Memory Support List until you get down to the 800Mhz section. Check to be sure the other timings showing for the memory match Crucial memory's specs or are set to "Auto" (except for the Memory Frequency (800) menu that you should over ride the setting to 800Mhz)

Be sure to run chkdsk in auto repair mode on your system drive to make sure any disk errors caused by the system crashing are repaired.

Start Windows in Safe Mode and run msconfig to set video to "base video" mode on the Boot TAB. Then restart, uninstall the video drivers and uninstall the video card from device manager. Reboot and reinstall the ATI video drivers using the ATI setup program (not hardware found wizard) which should also reinstate the video card in device manager. Remove"base video" mode in msconfig so newly installed drivers load when you reboot.

After you think things are normal, run Memtest 2.01+ for a minimum of 12 hours to make sure memory isn't failing when the system is running warm under constant load.

That PC8500 is 1066Mhz absolute maximum which means NO C.I.A. 2 settings in BIOS that would allow the system to exceed 1066Mhz. More often than not, the C.I.A. 2 setting won't cause problems with memory on a manufacturer's Memory Support List, but in your case, this may not be so.

Yesterday i removed all my 4 ram dimm,(i will call them 1-2-3-4)
I test 1 in all slots and the pc didn't start.
I removed the 1 and i insert 2 in first slot and pc starts and works fine unti now.
So the 1 is damaged.
I will test all my ram dimm one by one in all slots.
Maybe i will run Memtest 2.01+ with dimm 1 for now.
Questions: Run Memtest 2.01+ before or after i set Memory Frequency 800 Mhz?
Is my pc capable for gaming(Crysis,Dead Space,Sacred 2)if i use only 2 dimms in duall channel mode on 800 Mhz?
And Please write for me step by step how to set memory to 800 Mhz.

I have 3 ram dimms.I will insert and work with 2 dimms.
Slot 1+Slot 3 in duall channel.
All my ram dimms are the same,DDR2 1024mb Crucial Ballistix PC800 1066Mhz.
So i test them to chooce the more healthy.
I test one by one all the 3 dimms with Memtest 2.01,all pass test with no errors and work fine,BUT i notice something strange.....
The test results with Memtest 2.01 are different for each dimm in MB/s
Slot 1 dimm 1 CAS 5-7-7-24 1023m 2299 MB/s
Slot 1 dimm 2 CAS 5-7-7-24 1023m 3256 MB/s
Slot 1 dimm 3 CAS 5-7-7-24 1023m 3668 MB/s

Well as you notice MB/s are different.
What is that MB/s meaning?
Why are different?
Is that important?
Is better to choose the two dimms with the bigest MB/s?

You said you had PC8500 Crucial Ballistix which is 1066Mhz RAM.

Here is where you set memory frequency in your BIOS

PC6400 is 800Mhz

Use CPUz Download version 1.48. It will tell you what you have slot by slot.

I use the PC mostly for gaming.
I set resolution 1920x1080p and everyting else to maximum.
I hope 2GB are enough.

Vista 32bit Dx10

Please read until the end and aswer everthing you can.

Is there any danger to damage motherboard, ram or pc if i downgrade my ram from 1066Mhz to 800Mhz?
Is there any benefit if i downgrade my ram from 1066Mhz to 800Mhz?
Is better to have 2 dimms of ram 1GB+1GB in dual channel or 3 dimms of ram 1GB+1GB+1GB in flex mode?
----------------------
I have 3 ram dimms.Maybe i will insert and work with 2 dimms.

1. No danger to motherboard or RAM etc from running PC8500 (1066Mhz) RAM at 800Mhz.
2. Benefit is that it is actually supposed to work at 800Mhz in this Gigabyte board according to the Memory Support List for this board.

Also note that I see now there is a NEW Memtest released November 15. Version 2.10 Download (Pre-built & ISOs)

Why you have different results on sticks of the SAME type of memory is a mystery to me, unless they are not the same.

It is better to run all matching RAM modules in any one system as opposed to different speeds. Different speeds may work but the system will run at the speed of the lowest module.

System requirements vary from game to game, but definitely more memory is better in any situation. Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crysis_Wars#Crysis_Wars ) shows 2GB as recommended for Crysis.

Ok my seller has gave me a brand new dimm for the damaged one.
So i will insert all 4 dimms DDR2 1024mb Crucial Ballistix PC800 1066Mhz
I will downgrade them to 800Mhz and i hope everything works fine from today.
Any opinion?
