missing items at control panel

    missing items at control panel

    Hello,

    I am running Vista Ultimate SP1.
    Today I had a look at the control panel to uninstall some software. Unfortunately the control panel didnīt display any items. It was just gray shaded.

    What I tried to solve the problem:
    1. restart PC -> same result
    2. system restore 3 days: most of the items are back , BUT 3 are missing.
    text to speech, index options, offline folders

    Could anybody explain to me how to restore or to reinstall or to create new items?

    I would imagine that all items were there two weeks ago and I have no idea what I did wrong.

    P.S. I am admin and I there is no virus or spyware on the machine.

    It is possible that some of the items have been set as "hidden", so have a look at the following Tutorial to see if it helps you to restore them: Control Panel - Hide Icon
