send to shortcut and quick launch dont work

don't know where to start, but i noticed yesterday that my quick launch icons were missing, after 2 days of searching and missing crap up i figured i better post. also the send to link when ya right click on a file is blank too. i enabled the hidden admin and logged onto it and i could get the send to link to show documents, and i was able to add shortcuts to the quick launch too. im pretty sure this is going to be a user permissions problem. i also noticed i cant move my save music files to the windows player, and when i run the auto find program in the player it comes up empty. there sereral other things i cant do to. thats why im thinking it a acsess problem. i ran the vista forums systinfo program and copied it to clipboard. im sure it a long file, cause i enabled all the options. but here it is. oh, and i tried to manaully copy the quick launch shortcuts from the user/roaming/ie/quicklaunch folder and it just keeps making copies of each shortcut in the folder when i try to copy it. sometimes i can get 1 or 2 icons in the taskbar, but never more than 2. if i try to put certian ones down there it will erase all of them. its wierd.

Hello Venomous, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might see if a System Restore, using a restore point dated before this problem, can fix this for you.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

wish i could, but i disabled it a little to soon i guess..lol i always tweak my system after a os install. i guess its a chance i take for extra performance. just like all 4 of my drives are raid-0. ive got the icons to stay down there now. but i deleted the folder they were in, so i dont have the shortcuts for show desktop and the other 2 that have to do with the desktop. and i still dont have anything in my send to shortcut. thanks for the response.

You might see if you can create another regular administrator account. Next, while logged on to the new account, see if you can copy your other account files over to it. If you can, then just delete your old account afterwards.
