I have a logitech mx610 laser mouse that I have used with my vaio laptop with windows XP and never had any problems. This summer I bought a HP 4830f desktop computer that has Intel quad core 2.4Ghz, 4Gb of ram, nvidia geforce 8500 GT video card with vista x64, and I usually always have some type of mouse lag, it is especially really bad when anything is downloading. does anybody have a solution for this issue, it is so annoying

Make sure your batteries are good and clean the laser lens also the latest drivers for your mouse.

Hi Ryin, and welcome to Vista Forums.
You might try to reset the wireless connection between the mouse and receiver to see if that may help. There usually a button to press on the receiver to reset/rescan for the mouse signal. After pressing it press the small connect button on the bottom of the mouse. Hopefully that will get a better connection without the lag.
You might also check around for any other radio frequency device that may be interfering with the signal causing a lag.

Ok I think I fixed it, I had the usb receiver in a ps2 adapter instead of the usb port, and i also adjusted turned off mouse shadow which i read has caused some problems.
