I would like to have vista make a more distinct color when showing that I have selected a file in the explorer. As of now it shows it using a light transparent blue on the file name, but I find it difficult to see. Can this be customised?

best regards
Bjørn

Not if you are using Aero.

You will have to change to the rather funky-looking "Classic" look. But that itself for the sake of only showing a darker highlight is not worth the horrid look you'll get as a result... :(
