    hi everyone,


    i just ran a health report

    please see the two snips attached


    what should i do

    or am i a paranoid geek

    thanks for your help in advance

    p.s. yes i defrag. and yes i cleaned my files as well

    Hi,

    This could mean that the read/write speed to your hd is a bottleneck. It could be that you have been using your hd for some intense activity recently that has skewed the average.

    It's worth running checkdisk to see if there are any corrupt sectors.

    Try pressing the Windows and Pause/break keys together - the system window will open - then click Windows experience index ( in blue ), then, in the next window, click Update my score (also in blue ). See what the WEI score is for your hd.

    i did and nothing changed see this snip

    do you think i should look at something else



    i ran the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows

    for my drive and i passed

    Hi,

    Your Disk data transfer rate still scores 5.7, which is excellent, and the third party app. you ran says ok, as does checkdisk. Seems likely the queue length reading is because you did something unusually difficult for your hd recently.

    If you are not experiencing any hold ups, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Also, you may want to take a look at How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista to get a better understanding on how the snipping tool works to make better pictures more easily.
