Error 46: Could not load or find QuickTime Active X control

This is the error I receive over and over. I have QT downloaded on my system but due to this lost Active X that it takes to run it I can't open the player. I have removed and reinstalled; searched and searched for a solution to this issue to no avail. I am tired now and frustrated so I am asking for any suggestions on this wonderful forum. I have had such great help in this forum I sure hope someone has an answer. Oh I went into Windows update and I figured once my program was authenticated it would put a Active X on, but it didn't. There is an active X for silverlight, java, media player but not QT

Thank you so much for reading my post
