Lost "found" folders

In scanning for disk errors on a flash drive, 2 "found" folders were produced though I only know by browsing the drive in my Win 2000 machine. I'd like to delete these but get errors on the Win 2000 machine and can't find them from Vista Premium Home. I already changed hidden file view and the search parameters to include hidden and system files to no avail. Does anyone know how to find and delete the "found" folders?

Take the items off the flash drive that you want to keep and then do a complete format on it.

You're right, of course, regarding cleaning up the flash drive. You missed the point, however, regarding what Vista does with those directories. Why can't they be seen?
