Hi,

I recently upgraded from xp to vista ultimate 32-bit and following the installation the desktop image displayed is around 13" but my screen is a tad over 15". I've spent 2 days trawling the internet and have so far come up with nothing to resolve the issue.

In personalize, display options I have 2 choices - 800x600 and the other which is what I'm using now 1024-768 (highest 32bit).

I have a sony vaio laptop PCG-K215M which uses ATI's Radeon IGP 340M chipset.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, thanks for your response. I suspected it was a driver issue but numerous attempts to update the driver resulted in windows saying it was already using the best one(!)

I've just downloaded the driver updates (for XP) from the sony vaio website and hey presto after a bit of faff TM it finally decided to install the correct driver, how people with a limited understanding of computers get by i'll never know!

So to sum up- if you have a sony laptop and decide to install vista chances are you'll need to download the updates folder from the vaio website, you then need to unzip it and update the display adapter driver.
