Difference between vista ultimate & home premium?

So, what's the major Difference?

Would you recommend me to buy the Ultimate version or just take the Home Premium? And why?

Is there a site where i can see differences or something?

Thank you for that, I see nothing regarding specifit performance issues regarding gaming however. Does that mean there is no real difference as far as that goes? It looks to me the only differences are features.

Pretty much Duragon. It's just mainly a few more features such as complete computer backup, Bitlocker Encryption and Dreamscenes, etc. It's not going to make a difference in gaming really from Home Premium. :D

Features are the main and about only difference between the two.

In Ultimate, you have the Local Group Policy Manager, Local Security Policy, Complete PC Backup, Bitlocker, DreamScene, etc...... to name a few that Home Premium does not have.

You just need to see if you need these features, and if it justifies the extra cost for it.

Great thanks Aaron. I wasn't able to see if my computer was coming with the 32 bit or 64 bit version or not, althought I would prefer the 64.
How much would an upgrade or new version cost if It didn't come with the 64?

Well, if you don't know if it's 32 or 64 bit then it might likely be 32 bit. If you wanted to upgrade you could use the Upgrade Advisor on the link GeekPower gave you at the top right. Or you could try getting it from here Compare editions: 64-bit editions of Windows Vista
at the bottom for a minimal fee.
