my cd, d drive is full please help

for some reason my cd, d drive is full there are no cds in my computer and when ever i put a cd in, my computer doesn't even no theres anything in there, please help, i think the problem started when my mum tried to burn a cd and im guessing took it out before it was completed also i have multiple iso programs and all of a sudden all there drives disappeared? and where replaced with these weird one? i dont no but i have print screens please view

Hi lil3leo, welcome to the board.

It is indeed a very strange occurrence and I don't have an answer for that. However, I do notice that the drive you pointed out is said to be a virtual DVD drive. Do you really have 4 physical optical drives? I do have a HDD F: which is not exist listed in "my computer" which I can't get rid off. Since it is not causing and problem, I just leave it along until may be try to get rid of it when I need to reinstall Vista. Hope some one will give you a productive answer soon. Sorry and post back.

well no i dont need them all of a sudden they where there?, and i have no idea what they are iv tryed to uninstall them but every time i re start the computer they come back

Hi lil3leo,

Interesting problem that you have, I've also never seen anything like this, but the good news is that we can to try to fix it.:)

Have you used any programs that make virtual DVD/CD drives? if yes then uninstall them.

I suggest that you completely disconnect your DVD/CD drives from the computer, Start the computer normally and use a registry cleaner such as CCleaner to clean up your computer use both normal and registry modes.
After CCleaner has finished restart the computer, and have a look to see if you have any optical drives showing in device manager, Let me know if the answer is other than none.
Switch off your computer and reconnect your drives. Start up and see if it works properly

Yes or No please let me know

How many physical drives do you have? One or three? I'm guessing one Samsung DVD-RW

MagicIso Virtual DVD-ROM000 is your MagicIso mount point. Either Unmount your virtual drive or stop MagicISO from starting with Windows. Or uninstall magiciso.

The RP1252R and SB0120C are either physical drives, or more likely virtual drives connected to MagicIso. How many Virtual Drives / mounts do you have Magic Iso set to?

The TSSTcorp SH-S182F will be your physical Samsung DVD drive.

I'd look at disabling MagicIso first. It's possible that the virtual drives are conflicting with your physical drive. After disabling MagicISO, reboot and see if your physical drive works again.

yes i have multiple programs which do that i have, obviously magiciso, daemon tools and power iso, i have uninstalled magiciso but its still showing up on the cd/d drive iv also tryed to disconnect it but still nothing happens, when i unilstall each they uninstall but when i re-start the computer they come back again, also because i have the iso programs i did have drive e,f and g but they disapeared and where replaced with what you see there, im going to try and uninstall all of my iso programs and see what happens thank you so much for the help

Does the drive show up in Device Manager:
  1. Click the start orb
  2. Right-Click "Computer", then select Properties
  3. In the left pane, click "Device Manager". You will need to respond to a UAC prompt.
  4. What is listed under "DVD/CD-ROM drives"? And do any of them show an error icon? If they do, then right-click on that particular error device, then select "uninstall". When you have done this for all error DVD devices, reboot the computer.
If the DVD drive does show in Device Manager, and has no error icons, then it may simply be that a drive letter has no been assigned:
  1. Click the "Start Orb", then select "Control Panel"
  2. Click "System and Maintenance"
  3. Click "Administrative Tools"
  4. Double-click "Computer Management". You will need to respond to a UAC prompt.
  5. In the left-pane, click "Disk Management"
  6. In the bottom half of the center pane, locate your DVD drive
  7. Right-click on that drive, then select "change drive letter and paths".
  8. If it already has a drive letter assigned, highlight the assigned letter then click "Remove"
  9. If no drive letters are assigned, click "Add".
  10. Select an appropriate drive letter assignment, then click "OK"
