Vista Forums; Support by Donating

What bad, bad,habit?
Vista Guru
Support Vista Forums by Donating.

Why should I Donate to a Public Forum?

This Forum would not exist without the constant dedication and loyalty given to it in time, communication and advice, from a relatively small group of Administrators, Moderators, Developers and other Vista Pros :geek:, who voluntarily take it upon themselves to provide a service that is second to none.

Nothing is done without a cost of one form or another, and I'm sure that there are many Forum Members  who have benefitted from the combined wealth of knowledge and expertise that this Group :geek: has, and which it gives freely in order to help others.

I'm sure that there are many Forum Members, who like me, would still be totally lost, frustrated and lacking in self-confidence in their experiences with Vista, had they not had the free advice and encouragement in this Forum, from the Group, and indeed from other Forum Members. I well imagine the hours that would wasted getting any advice from official sources in response to 'Help' requests. This Forum, in most cases, provides us all with free solutions and fixes, often within hours of a difficulty being posted.

If it wasn't for this Vista Forum, I'll bet that many Forum Members would have had to part with hard-earned cash when presenting their PC or Notebook to a service centre for repair. Often, solutions and fixes have meant that the trip to a service centre was cancelled - a saving to the Forum Member :D. Perhaps, a little of that could be donated to Vista Forums, so that the work undertaken by this band of Volunteers, can continue for the benefit of all.

What do they :geek: do with the Donations?

And so to the matter of Donations. Donations to the Vista Forum are used for ever increasing Bandwidth costs, the Hosting Service, Domain Registration, Software Licensing Fees and Maintenance costs. No individual Group Member benefits from the donations.

I'm sold! Where's the link to let me Donate? :D

To access the 'Donate' Button, you will need to have one of the four following 'skins', as your main display on your Desktop. [ NOTE; 'Skin' selection can be made from the 'Quick Style Chooser' pop-up menu, that displays from the box at the bottom left-hand side of this page.]

Skins with the Donate button are;
  • Vista x64 Forums.
  • Vista x64 net v3.
  • Vista x64 net v3 Wide.
  • Vista x64 net v3 alt.
The 'Donate' button appears in the bar at the top of these skin pages, between the buttons for Forum and Windows 7.

I look forward to an epidemic of 'Supporter' Badges!

Toodle-pip.

Edit; Donation payment method.

I have received advice from the Vista Forums Administrator, that regrettably[from the Forum's point of view], donation payments can only be made and accepted by giving securely, using any Major Credit Card, verified through PayPal. Click on the Donate button to view the Major Credit Cards list.

To those Members who wanted to Donate, but are unable to do so because of the limitations mentioned above :(, your thoughts and unselfish intentions are appreciated. Please continue to make use of this valuable resource :D.
