I tried using the Easy Tranfer program from a Windows XP laptop to my new laptop using Vista Professional. I used an 8 gig flash drive for the process. I tried several times would only make it to approximately 75% completion and would get an error message and start the process all over.
I finally just copied my critcal data to the flash drive the old school way and copied it to my new laptop. My concern is that it appears that these several attemps at using W.E.T. may have left a large amount of junk data on my new hard drive.
Does anybody know:
1.) If WET is unsuccessful, does it leave data on the target hard drive?
2.) If so, how can I find it? Is there a default location and series of files that I can look for and erase to free up the space on my hard drive?
