    Shortcuts won't Run as Administrator

    Hi,



    I have a problem with 'Run as Administrator' which appeared around the time service pack 1 installed.

    The 'Run as Administrator' option on the right click menu of my short cuts has stopped working. I can change the shortcut to run as administrator from the properties compatibility tab but I don’t want them to have this privilege all the time.

    With most of the shortcuts I work around this problem by going to the file location and then the 'Run as Administrator' option works but not all shortcuts allow this.

    I have also found that some of the Office 2007 items on the Start menue no longer work.

    Does anyone know if this is a deliberate change from Microsoft or another undocumented problem? I don’t seam to find any reference to this on any Microsoft site.

    First this is not a new feature of SP1

    you may have a corruption of some vista files so you may want to give this a try ...
