Solved How not to start redundant threads?

I feel ill at ease starting a thread that I did not know has already been discussed ad nauseum in the past. But how do I check first? It's not in tutorial. Does FORUM have archive of previous threads?

Hi CoolNewYorker,

First try searching the forum

If nothing found there should be an archive button at the bottom of the page

If you do post a question that someone has already answered I'm sure someone will point this out. The difference on this forum is that it will invariably be done politely

I don't think people will ignore redundant post, 'cus most of the posts here are redundant in some way. They are new to visitors who just drops by. Also, you don't want to be a jerk because some one come here looking for help under great stress and doesn't have the time to search for the old answers for some one elses problem. There are always some variation in the problems and solutions; some thing new to learn. I just worry the others would be sick of reading my same suggestion all the time though I try to express myself differently.:D
