Re: AMD back in the game

amd needs to put intel in their place for charging upwards to over a grand for their i7 chips. so ill keep my fingers crossed for possibly just a few hundred for one of these chips

upwards of a grand? What are you smoking?

Newegg.com - Core i7, Intel, Processors - Desktops, CPUs / Processors, Computer Hardware

The cheapest Core i7, which outperforms a Q9770 EE in all but 2 tests, is a whopping $300. Yeah, that's upwards of a grand....

Please be sure of what you say before you say it....

didnt mean the cheapest one. ive seen the prices. if i get this class of processor im not going to get the entry level one. if amd puts out their top level phenom II for just a few hundred i would spend the money.
