Dreamscene in Premium

To Dreamers, let me hear more about dreamscenes before I venture installing some in my lowly Premium.

Pros and cons, please

i agree its an ultimate extra.....BUT you can do the same thing with deskscapes software from stardock. here check it out

pros obviously would be you can have nice video backgrounds....they suck up some resourses though which should be a given.

well, there are already many ways found even by googling them to enable DreamScene on Vista, even if all of them violate your Premium licence, but maybe that's what he means by saying he wants to install it on Premium..

So , here are pros and cons anyway:

Pros:
1. Nice video background
2. Nice video background with the ability to pause it and resume it.
3. Nice video background with not huge resources taken

Cons:
1. Explorer/Dreamscene crashes...they are quite often, unless you have lots of ram and/or ReadyBoost. (To me it worked fine with 2GB RAM and another 2GB ReadyBoost)
2. If anything else crashes, e.g. after an unexcpected restart, DreamScene is automatically disabled and your desktop is black until you go and select again a dreamscene for background.
3. Even if the computer seems to manage, the memory usage is big, especially if the video is big.
4. it gets borind after a while having the same video, even more boring than having the same static image, if u know what I mean.
