Vista - No "delete" option in Recycle Bin Menu

Hi everyone,

Weirdest thing...I noticed recently that when I right-click on my recycle bin, there is no "delete". I didn't make any changes that I am aware of..I have researched online and can't find anything at all...

Any ideas?

Sorry, I put the question poorly..what I should have said was I have no "empty recycle bin".....

Empty bin option is grayed out when it is empty. Put something in there and it will show up

It's not even in the drop down menu...not even when I have something in there...the other post did not help either..it deleted what was in the bin but did not give me the option to empty the bin in the right-click menu...

Sadly it did not..it did remove the files I had in there, but it did not give me the "empty recycle bin" option in the menu.....

Hello md88pilot,

See if running a sfc /scannow command can find and fix any bad system files that may be causing this. If not, the you can try a System Restore with a restore point dated before this happened.
