I have been having trouble with my computor freezing up. This started a couple of months ago and now it happens everyday. I have to turn it off and restart it everytime. Colin

Hi Colin,
Can you give us more details about the hardware in your machine and also what changes you made , i.e. what program(s) you installed at the time the trouble started. It may be nothing more than a driver and/or program update being required, but then again it could be something else altogether. The more information that we have, the easier it is for us to help you. This is why it is essential that people fill in their System Specs section of their CP as comprehensibly as possible - see mine for details of the type of information required.

It is usually windows live hotmail that freezes. i have been having trouble with messenger turning of with dep . the only way it works is if I run it as administrator.
I just had the whole system crash a few months ago and had it all put back on by Future World.

Hey there, new to this site. I have been having issues with my computer freezing as well. Mine is a brand new home build. ColinMacNeil what types of software are you running? I found that Bittorrent / Utorrent was at least one of the culprits on mine. Since then have uninstalled and reinstalled a different P2P app, but im still having the issue. My computer seems to predominantly freeze after sitting idle for some time......usually overnight. My system will come back to life with a move of the mouse but then I can't get the pointer to move around and the keyboard won't work either. How often are you experiencing the problem and what have you tried thus far to correct the issue?
