I would highly suggest you talk to the manufacture of the laptop/PC about your problem, and have them replace the hard drive, if that's the problem, or get some advice from them as to your best course of action to your problem.
Sorry, there's just too many variables to your issue, plus the fact that this is a store bought computer.
Thanks - I ran HDD Regenerator; all 26 hours of it, to determine if there was physical damage and there were none - no reported bad sectors whatsoever.
The partition for system restore (D Drive) is still there; I created another 50 gb partition for XP which is now deleted but still allocated so there is the main 700 gb with vista 64, 50 gb unallocated as it has been reformated and another partition for sys restore though you cannot access the folder through "my computer". The initial restore menu through boot up is inaccessible - the pf function doesn't access the menu for restore options.
I now cannot access either computer management or control panel both gone.
Everything is already backed up - I just need to find a way to format HDD
I live in Bermuda so there is no support for my pc here.
I built my last two pcs but the store price for this one was too good too pass up!!
Thanks again for the response.
