USB wireless mouse issue with sleep

Thanks to this Tutorial I have determined it was my usb mouse that is disabling my sleep function. This happens when either my wired or wireless mouse is plugged into the front usb ports on my computer. When I plug these mice into my rear usb ports sleep works. Unfortunantly I'm using MX rev. wireless mouse and it's range is pathetic so I would prefer to use front ports. I went into device manager under usb controllers and set all 8 usb root hub devices to allow computer to turn off device to save power but that didn't work. I think these may be for the rear usb ports. There are an aditional 8 usb devices called Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Enhanced Host Controller, and 1 usb composite device but there is no power option for these. Any way to keep my front USB ports from disabling sleep? They are atached to my memory card reader. Thanks, great forums.
