New year fresh start... Vista 64

Intel T7200 2.00 Ghz.
Ram 2046
Nvidia GeForce Go 7600
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit version.

Going to wait til the clock strikes 12:01 to due my reformat & restore
so all registers read 2009. To many bugs & problems, can't take it anymore.
Any last rights...or words of help?

make sure you have all the drivers you need standing by on disc.... so you don't need to download anything once you're installing. Check and doublecheck that you have everything.....

Also, as soon as you've installed windows, do a defrag, then set a manual restorepoint so you have a blank point to get back to. Even better is doing a ghost image to a cd or an empty HD drive....

Then, what I usually do is defrag after every big install (like office) and after 3 smaller installs (firefox, VLC, that sort of thing....). I'm sort of neurotic with this...

I also make a list beforehand as to which things I want to install on it exactly....... so I can determine a good order in which to install....

Acronis True Image works great but Norton Ghost wouldn't work for V64.

Make sure have you new year celebration drink right next to you.:D
