| Vista Home Premium 64 bit | Recovery Partition...should I delete? After having successfully created a set of system recovery discs which can be done only once on brand new HP Pavilion, can I delete the recovery partition to recover some space? Or is there any further use for it? And how do I find it? |

| Vista Ultimate X64 SP2 | Re: Recovery Partition...should I delete? Its a call you have to make. If you are satisfied with your recovery disks-delete the recovery partition. You will probably only recover a few Gb though. To delete it you need to access it either through the disk manage feature or Windows recovery feature- delete the partition creating an unpartitioned space then expand your windows partition (C drive) to its max allowed size. start>right click on "computer"> click "manage">click "continue">click on "disk Management" Click on the recovery partition's drive letter>right click "delete", then right click on active partition and click "expand" |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Recovery Partition...should I delete? I wouldn't do that CNY. In case something goes wrong in the future, (lose your disks, break them), I would just keep it. You should be able to see it going to Computer in the start menu. They usually have the drive locked so you can't modify it. You can look at this tutorial if you wanted to get rid of it though. Disk Management - Delete and Extend |

| Vista Ultimate 64 bit | Re: Recovery Partition...should I delete? Hi coolnewyorker, I would leave it along unless you really ran out of room on your HDD like you can't delete anything else. I had once recovered my laptop because of virus and also optical drive malfunction. |

| Vista Ultimate 64bit SP2/ | Re: Recovery Partition...should I delete? You can safely remove it if you want but use the Recovery Manager to remove the partition. Also when you have to reinstall the OS the recovery partition will be automatically installed again. |
