I'm guessing from your post, you automatically want to have files saved to D: when you save them, or download from the internet, right?

You can re-direct your personal user folders to folders on your D:

Just follow instructions of "Method One" in this tutorial: Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location

From there, whenever you save a new document, picture or download, it should automatically go to your D:, or to wherever you re-directed your user folders.

Re: how do i choose which hard drive i download to

Hi case998,

I actually recommend that you download to the Downloads folder and then copy/move the file to where you want. This makes malware scanning of downloads easy - you just need to scan that folder. Of course, if you do want to download to a different folder/drive you can do - see the following Tutorial for details on relocating your personal folders: Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location This will work for permanent relocation, but you can still choose the location on a download by download basis should you wish. The default location, however, will be the last location that you downloaded a file to - one of the reasons why I prefer to stick with the default folder.
