How to create a type of Task

I am wondering if there is a way to run a scheduled task when any files/folders in a defined directory are updated or added.

More specifically I am using Task Scheduler to run Synctoy to back up files onto a thumb drive. It works perfectly when using a timed event trigger, but there has to be a better way of doing it.

If you use Second Copy 7 (like my dad, im just trying it) then you can set it to automatically back up any and all changes that occur, when they occur. Is that what you are wanting to do?

That is exactly what I'm looking to do, I'd just rather not buy software to do it. I'll check out your suggestion and see if it is freeware.

Well I have been looking for a free one, and have found nothing. For about $30 this is the best deal.
