| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Cursor jumps fields --Tab Key? Help! My cursor (not the mouse cursor) won't stay in one place. It jumps from field to field in just about every program I use, going from left to right, just like I'm pushing down the tab button on the keyboard. I'm on a desktop and not a laptop. It makes it very hard to type or to chose options in pop up windows. It makes the scroll bars move all by themselves too. I tried updating my keyboard driver without any improvement. Any idea as to why? Your help would be appreciated. |

| Vista Ultimate 64bit | Re: Cursor jumps fields --Tab Key? Help! Have you tried another keyboard yet ? ? If it's a cordless check the batteries... Also if it's cordless move any other wireless devices such as phones away from the machine. |

| Windows 7 x64 build 7100 & Ubuntu 9.04 | Re: Cursor jumps fields --Tab Key? Help! Try plugging in another keyboard first. If the problem is solved, I would recommend keeping that keyboard, or getting another you like that also works. If the problem is NOT solved, it still works out, because we have narrowed the problem down. If this is the case, it could be a mouse problem, but I doubt it. Lets just see if another keyboard fixes it. ~Lordbob |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Cursor jumps fields --Tab Key? Help! I had a wireless keyboard until my son dumped some water on it. This one is not wireless and I bought it about 8 months ago. The problem I'm having is more recent, but I'll definitely try a different keyboard and see if that helps. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Cursor jumps fields --Tab Key? Help! After your input, I did some thinking and tried a few things. I swiched to a wired mouse and the problem has gone away. My old wireless keyboard was a combo that included a wireless mouse, which I was still using. Since the wireless reciever was for both keyboard and mouse, perhaps the computer was still getting signals for the missing wireless keyboard. That's my theory anyway. If I really want a wireless mouse in the future, maybe I'll try one that comes separtely. Thanks for the help! |
