I accidentally compressed my hard drive to save space and now my laptop will not boot up. Also I cannot repair with Vista DVD because my cd drive is broken. What should I do?
Buy a USB DVD drive or replace your internal one. Once you compress a boot partition, you usually can't reverse it. You need to get a working DVD. You might be able to uncompress it from an administrative mode.

Not that i m aware ofOkay, I figured it out, but is there any way to create a partition without formatting the flash drive? I tried to partition it but there was not enough space, although there was at least 7 gigs on the flash drive.
Okay, so I we bought a brand new 8 gig flash drive, i formatted it and created a partition. I am in the process of copying the Vista DVD to the flash drive from command prompt...I hope it works! Thanks for your help everybody, even if STILL it doesn't work.
