Vista - Application Error

I keep getting an Application Error...

Application has gnerated an exception that could not be handed.
Process ID= 0x107c (4220)
thread 1d=0x10d0 (4304)

What is it and how can I get rid of it?

The first step to see what program or driver is involved would be looking at the logs seen in the Windows event viewer. That's found in control panel>administrative tools>computer management>system tools in the left column.

The "Process ID= 0x107c (4220)" tag usually names something like the program or software company that will indicate which program is involved.

Sorry but there is no Administrative Tools under my control panel.

OK I got there but I don't see number there that are in my error message.

Look at the time and dates when going through the logs. If you know the last time you saw the error you can compare that there to see what the logs will reveal.

A problem with WMP here for example is seen in the Custom view>administrative log. Note the error code as well as the information seen in the text window at the bottom.
