Service Executable has stopped working...

I have been getting this message every so often and I am not sure what it means. Around the same time, I noticed my One Care keeps turning off the virus and spyware checker leaving my little "One" icon in the red. Can someone point me in the right direction? I've done a couple restores but it didn't seem to help any.

Here is exactly what it says...

Service Executable stopped working and was closed.

A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available.

First of all you need to find out what this service is assosiated with, it is not one I have seen before.
Click on the start menu.
Right click on my computer and choose manage.
In computer management you will see a services and applications tab, click to expand.
Click on services find the one you are having problems with and post the description here.
Looking at the web it may be to do with One care as you suggested but look at your services anyway and see what they are set at (automatic or manual).
What version of onecare are you running 1.5 or 2?

I was already in that area and switched the recovery to 'Restart the service' after the first, second and any subsequent failures. It was previously set to 'take no action' under the subsequent failure box. I'm hoping that will have fixed it. The version I have is 2 (2.5.2900.2) with the spyware def being 1.49.1727.

Appreciate the help! If you think of anything further, please let me know.

D.
